Andrew Connors Recognized as Super Lawyer for Intellectual Property

Attorney Andrew P. Connors studying a poker book in the law libraryFor the 10th year in a row, Virginia Super Lawyers Magazine has recognized Andrew P. Connors, Esquire as a “Rising Star.” The Rising Star designation is for lawyers under 40 that demonstrate exceptional legal skills in specific specialties. This year, and for the past several years, Super Lawyers has recognized Mr. Connors as a Rising Star in the specialty of Intellectual Property. In previous years, Super Lawyers has also recognized him for Business Litigation and Appeals. Super Lawyers uses a peer-nominated and peer-reviewed process to select the top 2.5% of the lawyers in their field.

Reflecting upon the accomplishment, Mr. Connors was thankful. “It is always an honor to get recognized,” Connors said. “I am especially thankful for the colleagues that have continued to recognize the hard work I have put into my intellectual property practice.”

Through his law practice, Darkhorse Attorneys, Mr. Connors has worked tirelessly to protect his business clients’ trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and other intellectual property. In the past year, Mr. Connors has represented several clients in trademark registration applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He has also prosecuted multiple opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Office. He is especially thankful for the trust clients have placed in him as he represented multiple clients in trademark and copyright infringement disputes, including a significant software copyright infringement case he recently settled. “Those successes are not me,” Connors said. “We have a wonderful staff of attorneys and law clerks, like Abbi White and Jacob East, who put in a lot of hard work for our clients.” Above all else, Connors credited God, who has blessed his practice and allowed him to teach intellectual property classes at Liberty University School of Law. “If I get to keep protecting my clients’ IP until I retire, I’ll be a lucky man,” he said.
